Prerequisites-

- Whenever you are performing a system related function like Rooting, updating software, firmware flashing, it is essential that all the process is carried out smoothly without any hindrances. Having at least 50% battery power so that the procedure is finished without any interruptions.
- Your device data certainly means a lot to you and you do not want to lose any of it while flashing firmware using the Vivo Flash tool. So make sure to have a complete backup of all the device data before performing any of the below steps.
- Working and reliable USB cable to establish a connection between the PC and your Vivo device.
Note that this procedure might void the warranty of your Vivo smartphone. Also, any mistakes might lead to bricking or similar sort of damage to your device. So make sure to follow all the steps with the utmost care and attention.
Step 1. Download Vivo Flash tool from the links mentioned above. Download and install Vivo USB Drivers.
Step 2. Open AFTool_4.8.0 folder after extracting the downloaded file. Then run AFTool.exe from this folder.
Step 3. Then download the firmware or Recovery that you want to flash on your Vivo device.
Step 4. Now see which processor your Vivo phone works on – Qualcomm or MediaTek. Then switch the tab accordingly. In case you want backup or recovery, go to the last tab.
Step 5. On the top left corner of the screen, you will see the Country menu. Select your country from the list.
Step 6. Now load Scatter file from firmware folder for MediaTek phone. For Qualcomm supported devices, load Fastboot flash.
Step 7. Now in the case of MTK, choose “Operation Mode”. For Qualcomm, choose the “Phone Model” from the list.
Step 8. Finally, click on the ‘Download’ option.
Step 9. Now boot your Vivo phone into Download Mode or Fastboot Mode.
Step 10. Then Connect your Vivo device to the PC using USB Cables.
That is it. Now be patient for a few minutes until the flashing process is finished. Soon you will receive a message that the flashing has been done successfully.
