Before going for how to delete Evernote account let me share some steps that you must need to do before performing the deletion steps.

1. Leave Shared Notebooks –

If you have any shared notes on your Evernote account. You must need to leave that. So, to do that go to “shared” menu on your notebook.

• On desktop app just right click on “Shared Notebook” and click on “Leave Notebook”.
• On the browser version, click on “shared notebook” and open it. Now click on 3 dot icon “Option” menu. Now click on “Leave Notebook.”

2. Delete Notebooks –

Now just find all your notebooks and delete them and move them to trash till your Notebooks are empty.

3. Empty The Trash –

Before empty the Trash, you might need to take backup. If you don’t do so you might loose it. So, you must need to take backup of that.

• If you are on Desktop App, just go to the Trash from menu and right click on it. Now, just select “Empty Trash”.
• If you are on web browser, just find the Trash menu and same way find the empty Trash and you are good to go.

This will completely delete your all notes.

4. Empty Business Trash –

As you know, if you have any shared notes then you must need o delete the Notes from your shared users also. So, to do that you must need to Empty the business trash. This will delete you shared notes from your shared users as well.

• Login to your admin console. From there Click on Trash and from the navigation menu. Now, you have the checkboxes for all your saved notes. now tick the checkboxes of your notes and tap on delete button.

Now, this will delete all your shared notes from the users account to whom you have shared the notes.

As you have deleted all your notes and data from your account, you can move forward with deleting your Evernote account.

1. Open Evernote.
2. Sign in to your account.
3. Click on your profile name.
   
   
4. Now click on “Account info”.
   
   
5. Now from left side menu find and tap on “Account Status”.

7. Just click on that link. read the popups and click on “continue”.
8. Now it will ask for your password to confirm the operation.
9. Enter your login password.
10. Now tap on “Close Account”.
11. One email will be sent to your email for the confirmation.
