Method 1. Use Google Home on PC via Chrome Cast

Before getting into this method, just make sure that your Google Home and Google Chrome browser are connected to the same network.

  • Open the Google Chrome browser on your PC. Just make sure it is running on the latest version.
  • Tap on the three dots on the top right side and choose the option of Cast.
  • You will be now shown a list of all the devices that are available to cast.

Method 2. Use Google Home for PC using Android Emulator

Android Emulators let you use Android Apps on PC. Since the Google Home app is not available for Windows, we will have to use an android emulator. There are a number of emulators out there but we will be using Bluestacks emulator.

  • Download and Install Bluestacks emulator for PC.
  • Launch Bluestacks.
  • You will be now prompted to Log In to Google Play.
  • Fill in the credentials.
  • Setup by hitting More and Accept.
  • Once Google Play is installed, open it.
  • Look for and download Google Home App. 

That’s it. You are now all set to use Google Home on PC.

Method 3. Use Google Home on Chromebook

Using Chromebook gives you the advantage of using Google apps. The Google apps will then use the same network to which your Chromebook is connected. Here is how you can use Google Home on Chromebook-

  • On your Chromebook, go to Settings > Apps.
  • In Google Play Store section, select “Turn On”.

That’s it. You can now open the Play Store on your Chromebook and then install Google Home.

Method 4. Use Google Home on Mac from Chromecast enabled site

  • Open Chromecast enabled sites like YouTube Music or Google Play music. 
  • Near the media controls, you will find a Cast button. Click on it.
  • Simply select Google Home.

  • On your Mac, open the Chrome browser.

Method 2. Use Google Home on Mac from Chromecast enabled site

  • Open sites that are Chromecast enabled like YouTube Music or Google Play music. 
  • Near the media controls, you will find a Cast button. Click on it.
  • Simply select Google Home.

Method 3. Connect Google Home for Mac via Android Emulator

  • Download and Install Android emulator like Bluestacks on your Mac.
  • Launch the emulator.
  • You will be asked to log in to the Google Play account. Do so.
  • Search for the Google Home app and install it.
