Samsung brings Call & Message Continuity (CMC) for Galaxy S8/S9 & Note 8/Note 9 by Q3 2019

Samsung consistently keeps on going with the view points of users and offers an amazing range of devices. However, users who wish to use the iOS features in Android device can easily make use of this feature. Samsung, however, is aimed to bring in their own version of Continuity. For this, the One UI skin has been exploited.

Samsung to bring Call & Message Continuity (CMC) to Galaxy S8/S9 & Note 8/Note 9 by Q3 2019. The Continuity feature was designed by Apple. The Apple does not only lack system-wide integration but the feature sets here are limited too.

This One UI update version 1.1 has been limited to only a few subset Samsung device that run on Android P like the GalaxyS10 and Galaxy Tab S5e.

If you want to sync contacts, texts, calls and numbers, you will need a Samsung account and activate it on both the devices for syncing. After this, the Korean OEM of Samsung has expanded the device support.

Coming to the Galaxy Tabs, the LTE models are not yet compatible. Samsung has made sure to bring support for the Samsung Galaxy S8 series. Through a recent announcement, the Continuity feature has been addressed and soon Galaxy S8/ S8+, S9/S9+, Note 9 and 8.

Minimum requirements for Continuity feature –

  • Android Pie 9.0
  • 3 GB RAM
