The OnePlus 7T Beta 3 update brought along a the 960FPS Slow motion video recording feature. This feature was expected in the OnePlus 7 Pro Stable Update but couldn’t make it. However, thanks to XDA Developer member elmarian756, we can now Enable 960FPS Slow Mode and Macro Mode on Oneplus 7 Pro.
How to Enable 960FPS Slow Mode and Macro Mode on OnePlus 7 Pro
Prerequisites
- Rooted OnePlus 7 Pro.
- Download Magisk on OnePlus 7 Pro
- Download and Install TWRP Recovery
- Preferences Manager 1.7 XDA
- Latest camera version 3.10.17 or above.
Enable 960FPS Slow Mode on OnePlus 7 Pro
You will need a rooted OnePlus 7 Pro device with the latest Camera version and running on the latest Beta channel. Although a few users could successfully attempt this method on a stable version, the Beta channel is recommended. Assuming you have followed all the prerequisites we can now begin the method.
- Open the Download Preferences Manager app that you downloaded from the link mentioned above.
- Give this app Required Root permissions.
- Tap on the menu present as three dots on the top left corner.
- Tap on Show System Application.
- Scroll down and tap on the Camera application.
- We will now have to add strings in this camera app so as to enable 960FPS Slow motion.
- We will have to modify the
CameraInfo_0.xml
and theCameraInfo_5.xml
preferences files of the stock camera app. For this, we will add a new string. - Tap on the “+” icon present at the top right corner.
- Then tap on String Set and under Key, type –
Video960FpsSizes
with the value1280x720.
- Lastly, tap on add.
- Make sure you have added the string set for both the XML files, individually.
That’s it. you have successfully enabled 960FPS Slow recording on OnePlus 7 Pro.

Enable Macro Mode on OnePlus 7 Pro
- Open the Download Preferences Manager app.
- Tap on the menu present as three dots on the top left corner.
- Tap on Show System Application.
- Scroll down and tap on the Camera application.
- Slide to the
CameraInfo_3.xml
- Scroll down in this XML Preference and tap on the IsUWMacroSupported variable.
- Change the value from False to true and hit Update.
