It wont be an overstatement to say that the Shenzhen based OEM has become a Phone maker.
The Asus ZenFone 5Z is a an Asus device sports a flagship grade SoC Snapdragon 845 and an expandable storage. There is a FM radio with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Indeed this configuration is a unique one as it cannot be seen now a days.
The Zendone 5Z originally came with Android oreo 8.1 but later got bumped into Android Pie 9.0. However, this update was not all smoothy and creamy. The users came actors a number of issues after this update. Despite of this, Asus mentioned this device in the list of Asus devices that will be up for the Android Q public beta testing.
And finally today, the Asus ZenFone 5Z Android Q 10 update beta program goes live. The Taiwanese OEM has promised to bring the ZenUI 6. Now since the Asus engineers had the access to Android Q codebase right since the beginning, inclusion of this UI should not take much time or efforts.
This is finally happening. The Asus now has initiated the public beta testing program through which all the interested ZenFone 5Z owners can get a bite of the latest Android 10 or Q.
All such users have to do is fill up an online form through this site and enter their IMEI of devices along with the build number of the latest Software their device has. This way the beta software will be directly pushed to their devices. Once these users have successfully enrolled, they will be notified through emails.
Just know that the current build roster is semi-public that means you are encouraged not to disclose any particulars about them in the public. The discussions will be concluded in a private section of Asus forum.
The OEM has listed the following responsibilities as a beta tester –
- Participate in every Beta version release and test on a daily basis.
- Report valid bugs with the correct format
- Maintain confidentiality of the Beta Testing program
- Be sure to post all beta-testing related issues in beta restricted board
The company has once again confirmed the arrival of Zen UI 6 for the Android Q beta. It is noteworthy to mention that the Asus zenfone Z5 is the first Asus device receiving the Android q beta testing program. This shows the bright future this device has.
For now, we do expect that the ZenFone 6/Asus 6Z will receive the Android Q beta program soon.
Stay tuned for more updates.
Happy Androiding 🙂
