Step 1: First you must right-click on the shortcut icon for a 4GB patch on your desktop and click on Properties option.

Step 2: There you must switch to the Shortcut tab of the Properties window.

Step 3: Add – SteamAppId xxxxxx at the end of the text in the Target text box. Note that the xxxxxx must be replaced with the actual Steam Application ID.

Step 4: In order to find a game’s app ID visit the game’s page in Steam and on the top URL bar the address will be present in that the app ID will also be present.
