The US Cellular LG G7 ThinQ is now receiving the September 2019 Security Patch Update. This maintenance update comes with the build number G710VMX20d and is based on the Android 9.0 Pie which it received recently. This update was released on 24th of September and the changelog of this update is not much impressive and consists only of no crucial updates.
Well considering the Google Norms, this update is not less significant as many bugs and improvements come across Google’s Android Security Bulletin. And these all bugs are fixed via the Security Updates from the manufacturer.
These updates, being OTA Updates are released in patches and hence it may take some time for everyone to get their hands on this update. You will be given a notification of this update once it arrives for your device. Or you can manually search for updates by following the below path –
Settings > General > About phone >Update Center. Now tap on System update> Check for update
This method will initiate the check for the latest update on your device. If any update is available, you will be shown the same along with the changelog of the update. It is always recommended to download an update over a WiFi connection especially if it exceeds 50o MB.
And do make sure to have at least 50% battery power as the update may take some time to download. Another major thing to consider while updating your device is to not stop it once it is initiated.
In case you cannot wait for the update to come to you, you can also install the update manually from the download link given below.
