Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine Delayed: Due to the health concerns in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, everyone stayed back at home in the lockdown situation. The entertainment industry also went on a pause, and we have witnessed a lot of things being delay for the same reason. Now, for the same reasons, Ubisoft has to delay its two upcoming titles namely Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine.
Both the Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine might only launch in the next fiscal year. Ubisoft recently announced that Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine delayed. As mentioned earlier, both these titles might only launch in the next financial year. Although the publisher was not specific with launch year, we can expect it sometime in the period from April 2021 to March 2022.
According to Ubisoft, the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the production. All the employees had to work from their home which is challenging. Because of the same reasons, more development time is required. This news was announced when the company released its second-quarter results today.
Initially, it was only said…
Benefitting from this strong momentum, and despite having moved Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine to 2021-22 to leverage their the full potential in context of production challenges caused by COVID-19, our new (income targets) for 2020-21 remain within the boundaries set back in May. Being able to maximize the long-term value of our IPs, while at the same time maintaining solid financial targets highlights the increasing recurring nature of our revenues, the strength of our portfolio of franchises, and confidence in our holiday season release slate
But, it is worth noting that the coming up releases like Assasins Creed Valhalla, Just Dance 2021, or immortals Fenyx Rising are apparently not affected by the delays. You can expect them to be unveiled by end of the year and the remake of Prince of Persia and Riders Republic are planned for the first quarter of 2021.
