How To Save Nintendo Switch Battery when Playing Animal Crossing

If you play Animal Crossing New Horizons, I am sure you know what I am talking about. The game actually consumes a lot of battery power and drains very quickly.

But don’t you worry. Here is how you can Save Nintendo Switch Battery when playing Animal Crossing –

Lower Screen Brightness

We all know how screen brightness drains the battery levels on the Nintendo Switch or on any device for that matter hence, lowering the screen brightness is always the best choice to make.

  • Firstly, Go to the Nintendo Home screen.
  • Then go to System Settings > System.
  • Now choose screen brightness and Lower it.

Turn Off WiFi

When you are playing Animal Crossing, and don’t want to download the saved game data or visit Islands online or invite friends on your islands then you can switch off the WiFi. To turn off WiFi, you can follow the below steps –

  • On the Nintendo screen, press and hold the Home button on the controller.
  • Then go to the Flight Mode, and turn it ON.
  • Or else, you can also go under Settings> Flight Mode to enable it.

Note – Flight Mode is not available  when your console is in dock. You will have to take it out, or the console must be in portable mode, so that you can turn on Flight Mode.

You can use the Nintendo Switch Portable Battery or go to Amazon or Google to get any type of portable battery for your Nintendo Switch.

How to Enable Nintendo Switch Battery Indicator?

Here is how you can keep track of your battery power using the Nintendo Switch Battery Indicator –

  1. First of all, go to the Nintendo Home screen.
  2. Go to System Settings> System > Console Battery.
  3. Switch on the battery indicator.

Certainly, the above steps could help you a little for sure. However, note that every battery degrades eventually and hence it’s draining also increases.

Nintendo has already clarified that the console’s battery life will lessen to about 80% as compared to the battery of a new Switch after 800 charging cycles. This is obvious for all batteries.

So if your battery power is draining while playing Animal crossing it could also be due to degrading battery.
