Samsung released its Galaxy Watch Active back in March and it seems the company is already well into development on the next generation of the smartwatch.
Leaked images of Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 has been revealed and it suggests that it would be very much similar to that of the earlier released model, at least in appearance.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is said to have two models: LTE and Wifi. The LTE model will apparently have a larger battery (340 mAh) than the Wifi model (237 mAh). There will also be two different sizes: 40 mm and 44 mm and none of the variants will feature a rotating bezel. The feature has been highly requested (because it makes life a lot easier) but Samsung has – for reasons best known to them – chosen to ignore users. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will still resemble its predecessor in many ways. The home/power button is round and the back button has a rectangular shape, and there’s also a red circle around the home/power button. There is even a microphone hole between the home and back keys and what look like speaker grills on the other side of it. The Tizen-powered watch will be running Samsung’s latest version of One UI as well.
The original Galaxy Watch Active is not so old so it remains to be seen what new functions the updated form has to offer. The device will likely hit the market around the same time as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
