JsSharma comment on Mi Community

Xiaomi did not turn to MediaTek ever since the launch of Redmi Note 3 Pro, at least in India, but after years they launched 8 Pro with MediaTek. The device was launched with Android 9 with MIUI 11 running the show. Although Xiaomi has launched the Android 10 update, it is sad to see the Redmi Note 8 Pro running on MIUI 11.

Although the Beta and custom MIUI 12 ROMs are available for the device, the stable firmware was not released yet. Now, according to a new comment from MIUI moderator JsSharma, the update is currently being tested. When an unknown user asked about the Indian MIUI 12 update, JsSharma replied…

MIUI 12 for your device is currently tested by Mi Pilot testers. It will be released to everyone soon.

Going by the JsSharma’s comment, we can understand that the Redmi Note 8 Pro MIUI 12 update is imminent. So, I suggest all the Note 8 Pro users to wait for a little more time. But then again, with some of good custom ROM development and Beta MIUI 12 ROMs, you can flash it on your device by undergoing the Bootloader Unlock and TWRP process.
