Realme becomes the 3rd Largest Smart Personal Audio Brand crossing Sony and Xiaomi

Realme is on the rage in recent times. Realme right now is a huge competition for Xiaomi and other popular mid-range smartphone companies. Recently, the company has announced its two pairs of Truly Wireless Earphones dubbed Realme Buds and Realme Buds Air.

Now, after giving a huge competition to brands like Xiaomi and Samsung in the mid-range market, the company has reached another milestone as the Realme is the Third Largest smart personal audio brand now. The position of Realme is followed by Sony in fourth place and Xiaomi on the fifth.

As mentioned earlier, Realme is standing in the third place as the first is occupied by boAt, and followed by Samsung in the second place. The report is generated by Canalys. According to Canalys estimates, the shipments of personal audio devices in the Asia Pacific, not including Greater China grew 61% year on year to reach the 16.0 million units in the Q1 2020.

Realme

On the account of Asia Pacific overtook Europe to become the third latest sub-region, after North America and Greater China. Canalys further added that India is currently one of the hottest battlefields for smartphone vendors, as players start shifting to TWS as the category share hit 20%.

Accounting for more than half the market, wireless earphones are the most popular category in India, with all the top five players, including smartphone vendors Samsung, Realme, and Xiaomi, shipping more wireless earphones than any other category in Q1

So, from where we see it, Xiaomi should definitely up their game as they were taken over again by Realme. Realme Buds are the best TWS earphones out there as of now, thanks to the feature-rich implementations at under Rs. 4000. Xiaomi has also released its Earbuds S and Mi TWS 2 in India which are a major disappointment, especially the TWS 2.
