Realme 2 Pro is the device that was launched back in 2018, which went toe-to-toe with the likes of the Redmi series of devices. This device was a real game-changer for Realme and the company was on the rage ever since. The device itself came out with some decent specifications and was launched with Color OS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Back then, all the Realme devices were launched with Color OS, as the company was announced as Oppo’s sub-brand. Later, they have developed their own user-interface dubbed, Realme UI. All the devices after Realme 2 did receive the latest Realme UI. Realme recently started pushing the Realme UI 1.0 update which is based on Android 10 to Realme 2 Pro.
The company back then took it the forums and announced that Realme 2 Pro will get an Android 10 based Realme UI update. Ever since that day fans are waiting to get their hands on the latest Realme UI based on Android 10. Reports stated that Realme 2 Pro started receiving the update on June 25. The updates, as one would expect rolled up batch-wise.
Realme 2 Pro UI 1.0 Android 10 Update
Today, a Realme 2 Pro user on Realme Community posted his thoughts around the update. A user named NickName01423869524 on the community posted that the Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10 is pointless. He further mentioned that he does not understand what is point of bringing such mere updates. NickName01423869524 also stated that the major update before this did ruin the camera quality.
He also added that the per-app dark mode creates a mess by darkening the unnecessary areas in apps like Snapchat. The Dual Space, when used two similar applications, does not give notifications for both the real and the cloned one. NickName01423869524 also requested to work on camera quality and overall stability.
Overall, it seems like most of the Realme 2 Pro users are facing stability issues. Moreover, I do not understand the point of UI’s who give us dark mode for third-party applications. I faced a similar issue on my Xiaomi device running MIUI 12. It applies dark mode to apps like Facebook where most of the elements go non-visible. This has to be fixed or removed completely by all the brands in their proprietary OS’.
If you are Realme 2 Pro user and did not update to the latest version, I suggest you give it a thought about camera quality, system stability and etc. For what it is worth, updating from Android 9 to 10 on custom skins will not give you a lot of features as they are dependable on skin not on the version on devices of Xiaomi and Realme.
