After a lot of leaks and speculations, OnePlus has its flagship OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro globally in the month of April, this year. Now, two months after the launch OnePlus started rolling out its new update to the OnePlus 8 Pro in the United States.
This update is a security patch of June and it brings a few notable changes and improvements. This update might not sound new to us considering that OnePlus did already release this update for Europe and India. The release notes or changelog here is just the same as the last week. The update here includes the features like optimized touch and interaction experience, also the power consumption performance.

OnePlus also mentioned that it has improved the high-temperature warning. It has also fixed the issue with Netflix and Amazon Prime. The security patch is updated to 2020.06, which is in June. As for the Indian update, the Photochrome camera was re-enabled after temporarily being disabled. On the other hand, it was never turned off in the United States. The notes of the update mentioned “Adjusted Photochrom filter”.
The updated Photochrom filter uses data about the lightning conditions collected by the color filter camera to generate photos with the main camera. Filter intensity differs under different lighting scenarios. OnePlus 8 Pro is the higher variant of the OnePlus 8 series, which comes with Fluid AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, HDR10+, and a lot more.
We get to see quad rear camera setup here with 48 MP primary camera with f/1.8, an 8 MP telephoto camera, 48 MP ultra-wide camera, and 5 MP f/2.4 color filter camera. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. The device comes with UFS 3.0 128 GB and 256 GB storages. All this is backed by a 4510 mAh battery which can be charged with 30W fast charging.
