Moto G8 Plus receives Android 10: Motorola devices were world-famous, not just because of their smartphone standards, but because of their updates too. If you remember, Moto devices used to be the first ones to get the latest Android updates, not only the security patches, but also the version updates. Now, Moto is one such brand that does not even provide updates for a few of its devices.
Moto G8 Plus receives Android 10
Recently, there have been a lot of confusions whether or not Moto G8 series will get the Android 10 update. It is a big deal back then as all the mid-range devices which are launched in the same span of G8 series are provided with this update. But then, Moto took a charge and clarified that it will be receiving the Android 10 update. Now, the G8 Plus has started receiving the Android 10 update in Italy. The initial reports are hinted towards a July rollout of the update which only seems to have been rolled out in only a few countries and devices.
Moreover, the update has been pending partner approval for a while hinting the update is almost ready. So, we expect it to be rolled out soon for Indian users as well. We have already received the software version QPI30.28-Q3-28 and bringing the security patch. We do not have a complete changelog yet, but the changes here include the security patch for July 2020.
We recommened everyone to update to this build as this is a stable build, not the beta. This is a planned roll-out, so it takes a bit of time to be available in all the handsets. For changes, the updates it brings software optimization and promises to provide a better user experience. Along with all the optimizations, it also improves security and performance while bumping the software version of the device up.
