YouTube is the world’s largest video sharing platform and certainly a source of income for many. YouTube has always been taking various efforts for its content creator community. One such step is the new Monetization Improvents bringing a new ‘Checking’ icon to YouTube Studio. Along with that a few other improvements like uploading videos as unlisted or private and self-certification is available for all YPP creators.
The first improvement comes as creators can now upload videos as unlisted or Private. This will give time for YouTube to check the monetization status of the video uploaded. The coolest part is, the system will check the status within 20 minutes and 1 hour at maximum.
The next feature added is the Self-Certification available for YouTube Partner Program. This feature lets creators share the content idea of their videos and how this complies with the ad guidelines of YouTube.
The improvement is certainly very fruitful as now, with the help of these icons, a creator can see the monetization status of their YouTube video. Thus a YouTuber can now know all financial information about the video even before uploading it publically. That sure does seem like a piece of good news.
Here’s a note added by Google on this matter –
No ads will run while the system is ‘checking’, which is another reason to upload as unlisted or private – this will give our systems the chance to accurately review your content before it starts getting public views, and help maximize your revenue.
That’s all we have for now. Hope the article was helpful. Do share your views on the new ‘checking’ icon on YouTube and other monetization improvements with us in the comment section below. We will be glad to hear from you.
