The Huawei phones, known for their regular updates have sticked to this title yet again. No doubt Huawei is trying hard to fit into the position of not getting ashamed for laying back while Google rolls out Android Q and makes Android 9 P older.
Earlier today, the Huawei brand Honor 7X got an OTA Update for Android 9.0 Pie and now before the end of the day we have another two device from Huawei – the Huawei P20 and Honor 8 Pro getting EMUI 9.1 Update.
Huawei P20 Lite got the EMUI 9.1 update recently and now its heavier version the Huawei P20 has received the same. This device is one of the Huawei’s high end phones that is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor. Originally, the device came with Android 8.1 Oreo and now is getting bumped into Android 9 Pie through this latest update.
The Huawei P20 users have already started receiving the update and have shared it on their social media handles and thus these users are now open to enjoying the EROFS technology support and the GPU Turbo 3.0 as well. The EMUI 9.1 Update has a massive size of 4 GB and also carries the July Security Patch along with it.
Now coming to the next device that will be getting the EMUI 9.1 Update, that is, Honor 8 Pro. This device that is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 960 processor originally had the Android Nougat 7.0 but now is eligible for Android P.
The Update size for Honor 8 Pro is 3.72 GB while the build tag is 126.96.36.199. This device too will be getting the EROFS technology support and the GPU Turbo 3.0. Along with that, there is the latest security patch and incoming video call customization options. The settings have been simplified as well.
Just like any other firmware, this too will be rolled out in patches and hence people may receive it at different times. Meanwhile, keep sharing your experiences with us of you own any of the above device and have got an update.
Basically a gamer, I tend to find Android so amusing that ended up creating a blog where I could share with you all that i am aware of and could be. Passion overtook me to an extent that I decided to be a full time technology blogger. Besides gaming, eating sleeping and Androiding is what keeps me going!
