Honor 8X EMUI 9.1 update starts rolling out, GPU Turbo 3.0, EROFS & July security patch included

Huawei is one of the devices that are a great competition to its fellow mobile phone brands. In order to keep up with the pace to ignore the Google’s Android Q update, Huawei has been almost on a daily basis updating their devices.

Just yesterday, the Honor 7X, Huawei P20 and Honor 8X Pro received the EMUI 9.1 Update and today the same will be received by the Honor 8X.

Honor 8X EMUI 9.1 update starts rolling out, GPU Turbo 3.0, EROFS & July security patch included. This update was confirmed by the Chinese OEM Huawei’s sub brand – Honor back in May.

However, due to further improvements, this update was postponed. When the announcement for EMUI 9.1 was made many users reported that they had not even received the EMUI 9.0 Update in March.

As for the Android EMUI 9.1 Android Pie update, the update was put on hold but Honor confirmed that users will receive this update in the first week of August.

The update has bumped the version to 9.1.0.216 and its size is nearly of 3GB. Huawei’s GPU Turbo 3.0 acceleration technology s dozens of more games, allowing you toe an improved gaming experience.

Along with that we have the support for ERFOS system function. As this firmware update, just like the others, will be rolled our in patches, some users may receive it later than others.

The first 1000 Honor 8X users have already received the update since they registered for the EMUI 9.1 Update.
