The TV show Game of Thrones might have come to an end but that doesn’t mean that the franchise is done and over with it.
With a huge cast of memorable characters, Game of Thrones has always been ripe for a hero-based strategy game in the vein of Fire Emblem Heroes. Lo and behold, Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall has come to fill that niche. The newly revealed mobile game collection-based strategy RPG is coming to Android and iPhone devices this summer, and it’s already available on the Play Store for pre-registration.
Courtesy of GAEA and HBO, Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall is developed by Behaviour interactive. One of the largest independent developers on this side of the pond, Behaviour has sold more than 70 million copies of its games with a total of over 200 million players worldwide. Beyond the Wall is made by the creative director responsible for Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
In term of gameplay, Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall is a turn-based strategy game in which players can collect various characters from the show and take control of their own very own castle of the Night’s Watch to protect Westeros. The story is set several decades prior to the events of Game of Thrones, following the mysterious disappearance of Brynden “Bloodraven” Rivers, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch at the time.
No official release date as of right now, but it will be released before the end of 2019.
