Remember the Asus Zenfone 6 which came out last year with that modular rotating camera module? Well, let us discuss the latest update of the phone and the features it brought to the table. Asus did remain one of the most underrated smartphone manufacturers in recent times. Although the company tried to stand the competition with Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and M2, flagship 5Z in the past, they did not receive a wide focus in the industry.
Talking about the Zenfone 6, the device is launched with some high-end specifications and went on toe-to-toe with the likes of OnePlus 7. Also, that was the reason to remain inexisted in the current smartphone world. Despite packing in some serious specifications, Asus Zenfone 6 impressed to fail a lot of smartphone enthusiasts.
As mentioned earlier, the device is launched back in 2019 with Android 9 out of the box. Asus one would already know, Asus did take Motorola route and dumped its Zen UI. Although all the current Asus devices run stock Android, we get to see a lot of bugs. That was one of the reasons for the previous devices which were not able to stand competition.
Like every time, Asus Zenfone 6 was released with unoptimized stock Android and sooner it received the Android 10 update too. The device did also receive a few incremental updates to fix a few user reported features. A few months back, the company did push an update which added VoLTE and VoWiFi support. But the VoWiFi feature was limited to Jio users in India and Tele 2 users in Sweden.
Asus Zenfone 6 July Update
With this new update, the device did receive the latest July security patch. This update is planned to roll worldwide with countries including India, Europe, and Japan SKUs. The software version of this update is 17.1810.2007.165. This update now brings the VoWiFi functionality to the users on the Telia network in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Not just that, Bluetooth connectivity also received a bump resulting in the stability of connected devices better and ever. The changelog or the release notes include
-Updated Android Security patch (2020/7/1)
-Enabled VoLTE/Vowifi on Telia (Sweden, Norway, and Finland)
-Improved stability of connected Bluetooth headsets
Optimised system stability
Bringing back the story of Asus and its software updates, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 which is launch years ago is still not completely bugless. It has been recently reported that the device still has the sound quality issues. Zenfone Max Pro M1, to recall, came out with some decent specifications and features. But the camera app itself was too junk. Just like with some cheap Chinese non-branded devices, Max Pro M1 came with a Snapdragon camera. Regardless of that, this update seems like a great deal for all the Zenfone users!
