The ZenFone 5Z is one of the major devices by ASUS that is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and has over 18W fast charging along with 8 GB RAM and expandable storage. I guess that summed up all I wanted to say about this device.
The best part about Asus ZenFone 5Z is that it has been listed under the Android Q Public Beta Testing which is scheduled for getting a fresh version of Skin that has been developed by Asus called the Zen UI 6.
But as everything comes with some flaws, the ZenFone 5Z is no excuse to this as well. Since the time ZenFone 5Z received Android 9 P update, the device has been facing issues like poor data connectivity, cellular network issues and even slower charging rate. And this has been noticed by ZenFone 5Z users all around the globe.
Not just that but the main issue was the lack of regular updates. The May Security Patch Update was received by the users in the middle term of June. This way ASUS skipped the June Security Patch. However, ASUS has now announced the July Security Patch to clear all the previous glitches.
This July Security Patch will have the build number – 184.108.40.206. As you might have noticed from the Screenshot above, the update mainly focuses on three points and one of them is fixing of the occasional not reading of SD Card. Along with that there has been optimization of the system.
Now there have been more issues reported by the users like camera not able to access the SD Card and others. Although we do have an incremental zip of 117 MB of this OTA update, the complete package is not yet available for public release on the ASUS server.
However, to keep you guys updated, the article will be updated soon when we get our hands on the complete package.
